Description
Designed by Alan Meredith, the Vinculum Console Table has an elegant, understated form that accentuates the timber surface and the natural flow of the grain. It is created using the ancient technique of steam bending, which manipulates the timber through the application of water, temperature and pressure from the human hand, and requires a high level of craftsmanship. The design explores the relationship between function and form and their impact on the inherent potential of the materials from which the table is made. The table requires some installation and can hold objects up to a combined load of approx. 8kg depending on the type of wall it is affixed to. This is a stunning sculptural piece and is an exceptional accent table for your hallway, foyer or living room.
Lead Time: This is a custom made, hand crafted piece, it is made-to-order and takes approx twelve weeks to produce.
Size, Colours & Grain: The dimensions of the Vinculum Console are 850mm high, 1100mm wide and 360mm deep. Colours, grains and textures will differ from photographs shown. Colour swatches are for reference only and may not be exact. Each piece will have unique elements, but at all times your piece will be created to the highest quality standards.
Caring for Wood: All materials are ethically sourced with FSC certified timber. As a natural material, wood is impacted by the environment it is in, over time light will effect its colour and extreme changes in temperature and humidity will cause it to expand and contract; a moderate, unfluctuating environment will suit best.
