Some materials may be difficult to find, so recycling cardboard packaging, newspapers, wrapping paper etc and colouring them with paint, crayons or gluing on colours torn from magazines can look great too.

If you have odd socks or off cuts of fabric you may want to make some multi-coloured fabric snakes.
