Supporting Charities & Volunteers
We are indebted to everyone working in the charity and volunteer sector who undertake tremendous work, who make a significant difference to our lives and to the lives of the most vulnerable and have such a positive impact on Irish society.
It is important to us to show our appreciation and help support organisations working tirelessly to improve lives in Ireland.
Here are just a few of the organisations we follow:
Peter McVerry Trust
Peter McVerry Trust is Ireland’s largest provider of Housing First services and is responsible for 61% of all services delivered under the National Housing First Implementation Plan.
They continue to deliver homes and vital Housing First support services during the COVID-19 pandemic, which you can help support.
Cork Penny Dinners
Cork Penny Dinners serves up to 2000 freshly made meals per week are being served at our premises compared to approx. 150 or less per week prior to the recession.
There is always an open door and a warm welcome. Cork Penny Dinners are open 7 days a week all year round including Christmas Day.
Threshold is the National Housing Charity providing housing and renting advice to prevent homelessness.
Threshold is a frontline advice and advocacy service for people with housing problems and people at risk of homelessness. Their service is free, independent and confidential.
Focus Ireland are driven by the fundamental belief that homelessness is wrong, robbing ordinary people of their potential and undermining society.
They campaign for policy reform to prevent people becoming, remaining or returning to homelessness and assist those that have become homeless or are worried about losing their home.
